Thomas Emerson Nonnemacher

Thomas Emerson Nonnemacher, 71, a longtime Emmaus resident, died April 15, 2022. He was the son of the late Harvey Jack and Christine (Roth) Nonnemacher.

He completed his education at Emmaus High School in 1969.

He loved sports, especially the Emmaus and Salisbury teams. As a longtime Phillies fan, he knew an amazing number of baseball statistics. He made many friends over his life and loved talking to people, especially on the phone in his later years. He had a great memory for birthdays and special dates and always called to share his well wishes. He loved the large family gatherings and often reminisced about those happy times.

In his younger years, “Tommy Ticket” sold raffle tickets and sandwiches for many nieces and nephews school or sports fundraisers. Everyone he knew was a potential sale!

He is survived by sisters, Reneé and her husband, Michael Halm, Alice Welsh, of Macungie; brothers, Jack and his wife, Dianne, of Emmaus, Tim, of Quakertown, Terry and his wife, Martha, of Littleton, Colo. He was predeceased by a sister, Judie Goff; brothers, Gary, William (Burt), Barry, Ronald and Michael; many nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, 18049 to support the EHS Athletic Department.

A brief graveside service will be held 2 p.m. April 21 in Emmaus Moravian Cemetery. A “Celebration of Life Picnic” will be held at a later date.
