Robert E. & Grace Ann Fry
Robert Erwin “Bibbles” Fry, 92 and Grace Ann (Buch- Genszler) Fry, 87, died within weeks of each other, Feb. 27, 2022 and March 15, 2022, respectively. They would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary June 20.
They were faithful members of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Emmaus.
Bob was the son of the late Abraham E. and Mabel L. (Mauser) Fry, of Allentown. He worked many jobs from Yellow Taxi in Allentown to proprietor of Fry’s Atlantic in Emmaus to Protect Alarms in Allentown. Despite his handicap he had many abilities and accomplishments, among them his love for and restoration of antique cars. He was most proud of his grandsons following in his footsteps of playing football, starting with the Emmaus Youth League, through middle and high school to Bloomsburg and Army. He was their biggest fan.
He is survived by his youngest sister, Dottie Ann and her husband, Carl Busher, of Dillingersville; many nieces, nephews and grands. He was predeceased by older brothers, Harold J. and his wife, Irene and Homer L.; a sister, Ellaine J. and her husband, Benjamin Zulli Sr.
Grace was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Reiter) Buch, of East Greenville. After her parents’ deaths, she was adopted by cousin Dorothy M. (Miller) and Charles F. Genszler and lovingly raised by “Auntie” Lillie M. Miller.
She graduated from East Greenville High School and Kutztown Teachers College. While teaching elementary classes in the Allentown School District, she waitressed for Barney’s Diner in Emmaus, Woolworth’s in the Whitehall Mall until it closed and finished her years at Cedarbrook in the dietary department.
She loved her coworkers, bingo, listening to the country music in Alburtis, the Phillies and 76ers and most of all, Emmaus and Army football.
She is survived by a sister, Dorothea S. and her husband, Donald Cooper, of East Greenville. She was predeceased by brothers, Edwin and his wife, Edna, Alton and his wife, Mary Frances and Ray and his wife, Gerda Buch; a sister, Minnie and her husband, Les Reiman.
They are both survived by their daughter, Linda M. and her husband, Brian Davidson, of Allentown; grandsons, Trevor, of Allentown and Andrew T. “Andy” and his fiancée, Bethany, of Colorado Springs, Colo.

A memorial graveside service at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Allentown will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
