Pauline H. Albert

Pauline H. Albert, 94, of North Catasauqua, died April 13, 2022, at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Albert Sr.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Pauline (Nikischer) Mayer.

She was a 1945 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown. She was a 1948 graduate of Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing.

She was in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II.

She was a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for many years. She was then employed by the family business, Albert Brothers Florist, North Catasauqua.

She was a former member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was currently a member of St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church, North Catasauqua.

She was a member of the Auxiliary of Catholic War Vets Post 0454, Woman’s Club of Catasauqua and the Coplay Saengerbund. She was a former member of the HIANZN Chorus.

She received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 1996.

She is survived by three children, Charles H. Jr. and his wife Susan M. of Northampton and Jane A. and her husband Leonard L. Rucci and Paul L., all of North Catasauqua; four grandchildren, Charles R. Albert and his wife Claire of Coplay, Christa A. Albert of Northampton, Anthony L. Rucci and fiancee Lizabeth of West Jordan, Utah, and Dominic C. Rucci and his wife Courtney of Sandy, Utah; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Charlotte and Leonardo.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Julius, John and Edward Mayer.

There will be calling times 6-8 p.m. April 21 and 9:30-10:30 a.m. April 22 at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay. There will be a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. April 22 at St. John Fisher Church, 1239 Third St., Catasauqua.

Contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
