Mary E. McAfee Christman, 85, formerly of Macungie, died April 12, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Peter M. McAfee and the late Dale H. Christman. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Michael L. and Anna v. (Dvorshak) Bodnar.

She graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School and LCCC. She was employed at PPL as a secretary and was a member of the PPL Retirees Group.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by children, Donna McAfee, Joseph McAfee and his wife, Mary Kay, Peter McAfee and his wife, Jennifer; a sister, Barbara Zarzeczny; a brother, Michael Bodnar; four grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Maria McAfee and sisters, Ann Foti and Carol Traupman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. April 20 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. April 20 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Emmaus.
