Gerald S. Fake

Gerald S. Fake, 79, of Emmaus, died April 10, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Carol A. (Smurda) Fake for 56 years. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Rev. Sterling A. and Cleo V. (Harding) Fake.

He was a 1961 graduate of Emmaus High School, lettering in football and track.

He was a member of UAW 677 and worked as an assembler for Mack Trucks for 35 years, retiring in 1999.

He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Upper Milford Township Recreation Committee, where he coached baseball.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Todd M. and his wife, Lisa, of Breinigsville, Brian K. and his wife, Holly, of Portland; grandchildren, Megan and her husband, William Lutterschmidt and Michael; a great-grandson, William Joseph Lutterschmidt; a sister, Eileen Hildenbrandt, of Northampton.
