The 1950s is back on stage with “Grease,” 7 p.m. April 21, 22, 23 and 2 p.m. April 24, John F. McHugh Auditorium, William Allen High School, 106 N. 17th St., Allentown.
Director John T. Sechler is assisted by Assistant Director and Choreographer Dawn Blanco, Music Director Brandon Remp, Technical Director Marc Hissam and Costume Designer Karen Comegys.
Music and lyrics are by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey with additional songs written by John Farrar.
The 1972 Broadway production received seven Tony Award nominations. The 1994 Broadway revival received three Tony nominations. The 2007 Broadway revival received one Tony nomination.
Songs include “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “There Are Worse Things I Can Do,” “You’re the One That I Want” and “We Go Together.”
