Tickets for the original dates will be honored. John Waters wrote and directed the 1988 movie, with scenes filmed at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, South Whitehall Township. Waters was creative consultant for the 2002 Broadway musical, adapted for a 2007 movie and 2016 live television production. Songs include “Welcome to the 60s,” “Good Morning, Baltimore” and “You Can’t Stop the Beat.” The Broadway musical received eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and was the longest-running musical at the Neil Simon Theater, with 2,642 performances July 18, 2002 - Jan. 4, 2009. He has charted more than 20 singles on the Billboard country chart, including the No. One hits “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing” (1997), “Ladies Love Country Boys” (2007) and “You’re Gonna Miss This” (2008). He has sold more than 11 million albums. On his latest, Adkins collaborates with Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Melissa Etheridge, Snoop Dog, Keb’ Mo,’ Pitbull and Stevie Wonder.
