Rural Preservation Association of Northwestern Lehigh County holds recycling event

The Rural Preservation Association of Northwestern Lehigh County, Germansville, sponsored a “Cleansweep” recycling event April 9 at the Lowhill Township Building, 7000 Herber Road, New Tripoli.

The association accepted a wide array of household items except for paint, chemicals, hazard materials, smoke detectors, and antifreeze.

A fee was assessed for each item, which ranged from $1 each for fluorescent lamps up to 70 and $55 for a cabinet mounted television over 41-inches diagonally.

Volunteers from the Rural Preservation Association assisted to document drop-offs and help unload items from resident’s vehicles.
