Howard L. Kutzler, 57, of Bethlehem, died April 3, 2022, in the St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus after a valiant battle with cancer. He was the husband of Eileen P. (Hook) Kutzler. They celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary last October. He was the son of Judy and Gene Kutzler, of Northampton.
He was a graduate of Northampton High School and West Virginia University.
He was employed as a Land Development Manager for Jaindl Land Development Company for the last five years and served as the township manager for both Bethlehem and South Whitehall Townships.
He was responsible for the construction of many large projects including St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus. He considered St. Luke’s “his hospital,” ultimately the hospital where he died. As a manager but more importantly as a person he could relate to anyone he met and was known as being tough but fair.
He attended First Baptist Church, Allentown.
He served as an EMT for Northampton Regional Emergency Medical Services from 1983 until present. He was a volunteer for the Red Cross and served on various municipal boards.
He enjoyed WVU sports, sport shooting and fast food.
He will be remembered as a “family man” extending to his Jaindl, Bethlehem and South Whitehall Township, NREMS and OBX families.
He is survived by his wife; parents; son, Andrew P. of Bethlehem; daughter, Heather L. and her fiance, Jared W. Turnbull, of Berlin, Conn.; brother, Paul and his wife, Doreen, of Robesonia; sister, Kim and her husband, Kevin Milnes, of Northampton; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
