Violet I. Traugher, 81, of Bushkill Township and formerly of Northampton, died April 7, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Donald Traugher.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mamie (Mink) Ernst.

She was a 1958 graduate of Whitehall High School

She was a sales clerk at Sears, Whitehall, for 54 years before retiring in 2011.

She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Seemsville.

She was a member of the former Northampton Lions Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie L. and husband Kevin Yany of Bushkill Township and Michelle L. and husband Darin Rehrig of Northampton; a brother, Carl Ernst; two sisters, Doris Igoe of Virginia and Joyce Klein of Northampton; four grandchildren, Brianna, McKenzie, Tyler and Olivia; and a great-grandson, Elliot.

She was predeceased by a brother, Walter Ernst.
