Troop M to participate in Six State Trooper Project
Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M will participate in a multistate enforcement project through April 11.
The project is a collaboration among the Pennsylvania State Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, Indiana State Police, West Virginia State Police and Michigan State Police with the goal of enhancing highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing.
Troopers will concentrate enforcement efforts on distracted drivers who violate:
•Title 75 Section 1621: Texting While Driving;
•Title 75 Section 1622: Handheld Mobile Telephone;
•Title 75 Section 3314: Prohibiting Use of Hearing Impairment Devices;
•Title 75 Section 3316: Prohibiting Text-based Communications;
•Title 75 Section 3714: Careless Driving;
•Title 75 Section 3736: Reckless Driving and
•Title 75 Section 4527: Image Display Device.
