District Attorney Jim Martin recently announced Tadd J. Turczyn has joined his office as an assistant district attorney.
Turczyn received his Juris Doctorate in May 2021 from Widener Commonwealth Law.
He is a graduate of Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif., where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science in 1996.
Turczyn served from 1998 to 2018 in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a naval flight officer and rose to the rank of major.
During his service, he completed five overseas deployments, served as a flight instructor and received several awards for his achievements in aerial combat and performance in a combat zone as well as for his superior performance.
From 2009 through 2018, Turczyn also served various positions within the Marine Corps that included an electronic warfare officer and director, Female Engagement Team; fixed wing air officer and foreign disclosure officer and a director of Aviation Training Systems and deputy director of Future Plans.
Turczyn also served as a law clerk at Peters and Wasilefski in Harrisburg.
He is the son of local attorney Tom Turczyn, a 50-year-member of the Bar of Lehigh County, and Tom’s wife, Jannie.
“I want to welcome Tadd aboard and I know he will be an asset and will enhance the work we are doing here at the District Attorney’s office,” Martin said.
