Local egg hunts planned

Concordia Lutheran Preschool will hold its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt rain or shine 10 a.m. April 9 with registration starting 9:30 a.m. There will be a light breakfast following the egg hunt.
Macungie Park will hold an Easter Egg Hunt 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 10 at Macungie Memorial Park. There will be egg spoon races, food trucks, bounce houses and prizes. The Easter bunny will be available for pictures. There will be a charge for admission.
Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., offers its free community meal as a drive-up option. The next meal will be 4-5:30 p.m. April 8.
Grace Lutheran Church holds a weekly food distribution 2-4 p.m. every Wednesday consisting of bread, baked goods and free items. Signs will be posted with directions for parking and pickup.
The Lower Lehigh AARP will meet noon April 7 in the lower level of Macungie Memorial Hall in Macungie. The next meeting will be noon May 5. For more information, contact Dot at 610-967-3284.
The first cruise night of the season will begin 3 p.m. April 16 at Macungie Memorial Park. Vehicles will start arriving 2 p.m. For more information, call 610-966-4289.
There will be two hands-on clay workshops offered April 23 at Macungie Memorial Park. The workshops 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. will offer the opportunity to make a garden tile or pet memorial stone. For more information or to register, go to www.wilzpottery.com/gardentileworkshop.
The Syndicate Society will hold its 2022 season opener car show 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 24 at the White Oak Pavilion in Macungie Memorial Park.
Church of the Good Shepherd UCC, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis, is celebrating a groundbreaking ceremony for its new community prayer garden. This exciting event will take place April 24 following the 10:30 a.m. church service.
The Church of the Good Shepherd will hold a spring craft show 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30. There will be crafters, a gift basket auction, attic treasures, baked goods, perennial plants, refreshments and lunch. All are welcome.
There will be a Spring-A-Palooza Vendor Show and Tricky Tray 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at Macungie Memorial Hall in Macungie Park. There will be shopping, food, music and a huge tricky tray. Proceeds of the tricky tray will benefit Macungie Memorial Park.
The Friends of the Lower Macungie Library will have the spring book sale in May. Join the Friends and you can come to the early bird sale 5-7:30 p.m. May 5. The book sale will be open to the general public 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 6 and 7. The bag sale will begin 2:30 p.m. May 7. There are books (including over 100 boxes of children’s books), DVDs, CDs and puzzles.
The Lower Lehigh Lions will hold its annual spring flea market/garage sale 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 7 at Macungie Memorial Park.
The Macungie Farmers Market will open for the season 4-7 p.m. May 12 on Lumber Street, just off Main Street, Macungie.
Macungie Borough offices are now open to the public. Borough hall will be closed April 15. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information, call 610-966-2503.
Macungie Borough Council has resumed regular in person public meetings at the Macungie Institute. The next meetings will be 7:30 p.m. April 18 and May 2.
Cash bingo is held weekly Saturday evenings at Macungie Memorial Park. Doors open 4:30 p.m. and games begin 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 610-966-4289.
