Northampton Area Public Library: Enjoy National Library Week fine-free

Northampton Area Public Library wishes you a happy National Library Week!

We will be forgiving fines for items returned in good condition through April 9. In addition, DVD rentals will be free all week.

Our third- through fifth-grade Book Club, Game Club and STEM Craft Club continue April 7, 14 and 21, respectively.

All groups meet 6 p.m.

We’ve brought back the cookie cutter bird feeder kit for adults.

Register now to pick yours up, starting 9 a.m. April 11.

The recipe swap group kicks off its spring sessions 6 p.m. April 18.

Janice Monahan Rodgers will be back 6 p.m. April 20 to present her latest book, “Life Before Seatbelts.”

Take a look back into the 1940s and ’50s when cars were first becoming prevalent in everyday society, and don’t forget to bring questions.

4-H is joining us at the library again 6 p.m. April 28.

Storytime is back!

Local author Joe Borda will kick off storytime 10 a.m. April 30 with his book “Jack the Unicorn.”

Our youngest patrons can still receive a different craft in a bag each week, including a ladybug, bunnies and chicks; a seasonal tree; and a carrot garden.

April’s Laid Back Book Club is reading “The Reading List” by Sara Nisha Adams.

Teens, don’t forget Mother’s Day is May 8. We have everything you need to make a baby’s breath butterfly jar as a gift or keep it for yourself as a decoration.

The Friends of Northampton Area Public Library are planning a bus trip to see the “Harry Potter” exhibition at the Franklin Institute May 13.

Purchase tickets by April 14 at the library.
