Gary S. Young, 69, of New Tripoli, died March 26, 2022, at home. He was the husband of Janet (Mertz) Young for 36 years.
Born in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., he was a son of Linford “Buddy” and Jean “Ginger” (Kremus) Young.
He was a 1971 graduate of Whitehall High School Class.
He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany 1972-74.
He worked for East Penn Manufacturing, Topton. He was an employee/owner of Blind Ambitions, in charge of installing blinds, shades and awnings for more than 35 years. Before that, he was employed for 16 years at Mack Trucks, Allentown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Gail M. Bundra of Walnutport; a brother, Glen T. Young with Eileen Butler of Northampton; a sister-in-law, Sandra L. Mertz with Brian Sharrow of Arlington, Va.; two nieces, Carrie L. Bundra of Walnutport and Jenna L. with David Martin of Northampton; two nephews, Brian S. with Jenny Young of Easton and Jared J. Bundra of Walnutport; four great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
He was predeceased by an aunt, Joni Kremus.
