Kleintop earns president’s honor, dean’s lists
The University of Hartford has announced Leah Kleintop, of Coplay, has been named to the president’s honor list and the dean’s list for fall 2021.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Dean named to dean’s list
Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced that Stephanie Dean, of Coplay, of the Class of 2025 majoring in civil engineering, was named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2021 semester.
A total of 2,054 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI’s fall 2021 dean’s list. The criteria for this honor differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a GPA. Instead, WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

Rimple earns dean’s list
Brady Rimple, of Cherryville, was named to the dean’s list at SUNY Cortland for the fall 2021 semester. Rimple is studying sports management.

Santa inducted into honor society
Cedar Crest College is happy to announce Jennifer Santa, of Catasauqua, was inducted into the Delphi Society for the fall 2021 semester in recognition of outstanding academic achievements. Delphi is the college’s honor society for undergraduate students. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 at the end of their junior or senior year are recognized as members.
Located in Allentown, Cedar Crest College has been named 11 years in a row among the top colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s Best College Rankings and as a Top Performer on Social Mobility from 2020 to 2022.
In 2020, the college was recognized as No. 5 among Washington Monthly’s national Master’s University Ranking and No. 17 Best Bang for Your Buck: Northeast. Bates College
Schierwagen earns dean’s list
Grace Schierwagen, of Northampton, was named to the dean’s list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2021. This is a distinction earned by students whose GPA is 3.92 or higher.
Schierwagen, the daughter of William G. and Susan R. Schierwagen, is a 2018 graduate of Gould Academy. She is majoring in economics and psychology at Bates.
Located in Lewiston, Maine, Bates is internationally recognized as a leading liberal arts college, attracting 2,000 students from across the U.S. and around the world. Since 1855, Bates has been dedicated to educating the whole person through creative and rigorous scholarship in a collaborative residential community.
University of Utah
Schifko earns dean’s list
Tyler Schifko, of Catasauqua, was named to the University of Utah’s fall 2021 dean’s list. Schifko’s major is listed as undeclared.
Schifko was among more than 9,600 students named to this honor at the university. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.

Pedraza earns dean’s list
Natalia Pedraza, of Whitehall, was named to the dean’s list for 2021 semester at Syracuse University, New York. She is a student in the college of arts and sciences and Maxwell School, where she is majoring in biochemistry and forensic science.
Hood College
Malitzki named to dean’s list
Jacqueline Malitzki, of Coplay, a member of the Class of 2025, was named to the dean’s list at Hood College for the fall 2021 semester. The dean’s list recognizes degree-seeking students who completed at least six semester hours with at least a 3.5 GPA.
Hood College is an independent, liberal arts college, offering more than 25 bachelor’s degrees, four preprofessional programs, 19 master’s degrees programs, two doctorates and 10 post-baccalaureate certificates. Located in historic Frederick, near Washington, D.C., Baltimore and the I-270 technology corridor, Hood gives students access to internships and research opportunities.
