Carol M. Klinetob
Carol M. Klinetob, 72, of Macungie, died peacefully April 1, 2022, after a decline from Alzheimer’s disease. She was the wife of Carl Klinetob for almost 50 years. Born in Glen Lyon, she was a daughter of the late Nello and Evelyn Roke.
She graduated from Newport Township High School in 1967 and then received a Bachelor of Science degree in medical terminology at Wilkes College. After raising their children, she pursued a nursing career. She graduated from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Bethlehem in 1999, receiving a BSN and MSN shortly thereafter.
She was an active member of New Covenant Christian Community Church. She was devoted to her faith and found a deep joy in being with her church community, as well as in spending time with her children and grandchildren, her many friends and numerous patients she passionately cared for during her time as an oncology nurse.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Brian and his wife, Hannah; daughters, Sarah and her husband, Kevin Lowe; Emily and her husband, Josiah Brice; grandchildren, Matilda and Henry, Julia Lowe and Evelyn and Eleanor Brice; siblings, Dr. Albert Roke and his wife, Cindi, Dr. Edward Roke and his wife, Jean; Larry Roke and his wife, Millie, Carl Roke and his wife, Carol Ann, Marlene Kluger; Christine and her husband, Richard Evans and Dr. Marie and her husband, Jim Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law, David Kluger and Mark.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Covenant Christian Community Church, 21 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, 18018. To honor her memory the family invites you to take baked goods to a friend or neighbor. She always showed up in your company with a batch of her delicious chocolate chip cookies or cream cheese cupcakes.
Services will be held noon April 6 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 11 a.m. to noon April 6 in the funeral home.
