Scholarship available for a Liberty HS athlete
The Shareholders of Buckno Lisicky & Company have established a scholarship in memorial of their founding Shareholder. This $2,500 scholarship is available for a Liberty HS student athlete who is planning on studying finance/accounting in college.
The Gene M. Buckno Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Gene M. Buckno, CPA, who passed away April 14, 2021. As one of the founding shareholders of Buckno Lisicky & Company, Gene dedicated his life and work to serving the accounting profession and his clients for over 50 years.
Gene was a graduate of Liberty HS where he played football. Gene’s passion for giving back was an important aspect of his life and this started at a very young age. Gene’s motto was always – Work Hard! Play Hard! This philosophy served him well throughout his life and in his success as a pioneer in the accounting industry.
