Charles F. and Virginia B. Haas

Virginia B. Haas, 97, of Country Meadows, Bethlehem, died on March 29, 2022. She was a daughter of the late Patrick Kelly and Elizabeth (Scully) Kelly of Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Haas for 75 years.

She was a 1941 Bethlehem Catholic H.S. graduate, where she was captain of the basketball team. She attended Bethlehem Business College. She was employed by Lehigh Valley Railroad, Bethlehem Steel Corporation and was retired from St. Luke’s Hospital where she was business office manager. She was a lifelong member of St. Ursula Church, Fountain Hill.

She volunteered at Cedarbrook Senior Care, Fountain Hill. She was a member of the Golden Hillers.

She is survived by five sons, Richard (Kathleen), Michael, Robert (Judith), Thomas (Susan) and Jeffrey (Jennifer); nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by eight siblings, Patrick, Joseph, James, Mary (Dwyer), Ann (McCracken), Kathryn (Duffy), Elizabeth (Diggles), and Julia (Lyons).

Services for Charles, who died March 19, 2022, were postponed at that time. They will now be combined with the services for Virginia. This is a very fitting tribute, for in life they were inseparable.
