North Catasauqua: Recreation committee plans summer programs, concerts
North Catasauqua Recreation Committee is planning active and fun summertime programs.
All events will be held at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.
Scheduled band concerts include 99 Stringz, 7 p.m. June 22; Amish Outlaws, 7 p.m. July 10; and Steel Creek, 7 p.m. Aug. 24.
Family night will be held Aug. 17.
Mark your calendar, and come out to support these community events.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will have a bag sale April 4-13 on everything in the store unless otherwise marked.
The shop’s business hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
We are happy to accept donations of good, used, clean clothing during store hours.
Proceeds are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

The Public Library of Catasauqua, 302 Bridge St., will be celebrating Earth Day by planting seeds April 18 and 19 in the downstairs area of the main library.
This activity will be held 2 p.m.-5 p.m. both days and is free to all.
The garden club will be there to help.

Catasauqua/North Catasauqua will celebrate Independence Day with a gala celebration starting 11 a.m. July 2 at the North Catasauqua park, ending with fireworks at dusk at the Alumni Field football stadium, 850 Pine St.
The J4 Committee is asking for contributions to help with the event. All donors will be listed in the J4 newsletter, which will be delivered to all homes in both boroughs in May.
Businesses that give donations of $200 or more will be listed as special donors. Businesses and individuals who give $100 or more will be listed as red patrons; $50 to $99 will be listed as white patrons; and $49 and under will be listed as blue patrons. Please make checks payable to J4 Celebration and send to J4 Committee, P.O. Box 224, Catasauqua, 18032.
The donation deadline is April 11.
