Hokendauqua: Clothing drive fundraiser scheduled for April 2, 3, 9, 10
A&E Clothing Corporation is sponsoring a clothing drive fundraiser, with drop-offs set for 9 a.m.-noon April 2, 3, 9 and 10 at the pavilion at Hokendauqua Park, 3417 Lehigh St.
Items that can be donated include men’s, women’s and kids’ clothing, belts, shoes (bag separately), hats, scarves, gloves, ties, blankets, pocketbooks, handbags, backpacks, briefcases, stuffed animals, comforters, quilts, sheets, pillows, towels, tablecloths, drapery and curtains.

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, will be hosting a Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative free community meal 4-6:30 p.m. April 3. The meal is guaranteed for the first 100 guests.

Whitehall Township’s community egg hunt will start 10 a.m. April 9 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.
There will be three age groups - 5 years old and under, 6-8 years old and 9-10 years old.
Registration is 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. the day of the event at the site.

A Mother’s Day Run for the Roses half-marathon, 5-K and 10-K are planned for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. May 8 starting at Saylor Park, 245 N. Second St., Coplay.

Mark your calendar for the free annual fishing derby, sponsored by Whitehall Township Recreation Bureau. The event, which is open to children 15 years old and younger, will be May 28 at Hokendauqua Park, 3417 Lehigh St.
Registration will be 8-8:45 a.m., and the contest runs 9 a.m.-noon.
More than 100 trout will be stocked. First-, second- and third-place awards will be given in four age groups - 6 years old and younger, 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old and 13-15 years old. There will be a prize for the overall biggest fish.
You must bring your own bait and tackle.
Refreshments are provided by Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association.

WACC, Whitehall and the township’s historical society are organizing the first-ever Whitehall Heritage Fest, set for 1-5 p.m. June 25.
The festival will feature local vendors, live music, family activities, historical re-enactments and more.
