It’s officially spring and now that the weather is warming up (hopefully….let’s be honest…this is PA!) there are so many things happening in our schools for the rest of the school year.

The next Salisbury Elementary School PTO meeting will begin 7 p.m. April 4. SES parents, come out and see what’s going on at SES and how you can help support the students at SES. The PTO is always doing great things!

The next township work session will begin 7 p.m. April 6 in the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road.

The next SES T-shirt day will be April 8. Show how great it is to be a Falcon!

Salisbury Recreation Advisory will host an Easter egg hunt, weather permitting, 10 a.m. April 9 at Franko Farm Park, 1339 Black River Road.

The hunt is for children ages 3 to 10 and each child must register or be registered by April 6. Registration forms are available through the Salisbury Township website, www.salisburytownshippa.org/.

The event is not endorsed by the Salisbury Township School District.

Looking forward, All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for spring break April 14 through April 18. Classes will resume April 19.

With the weather getting warmer, FINALLY…..be on the lookout for things coming home from your students classes in regards to the potential for field trips and other activities. Spring is always a fun and busy time in our schools!

Salisbury Twirlers will host a percussion, dance, twirler and guard show noon April 2 at Salisbury High School, 500 E. Montgomery St.

There is a cost for admission and a discounted admission for students and seniors.

This is always a great show. Come out and show your support.

The SYA Falcons are looking for cheer coaches. Head coaches, assistant coaches and even junior coaches are all needed for the upcoming season. No prior experience is necessary. If interested, contact Rebecca at cheerleading@syasports.net.

Are you a golfer? If so….save these dates!

The Salisbury Football Golf Classic will be held 1 p.m. Aug. 13 at Wedgewood Golf Course, 4875 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg. The Frank Yelinko Memorial Golf Tournament will be held 7:30 a.m. Sept. 10 at Iron Lakes Country Club, 3625 Shankweiler Road, Allentown. More information to follow!

The Salisbury Township yard waste drop-off sites will open soon.

The Franko Farm Drop Off will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 4 and 7 and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. April 9.
