Edward F. Rowe, 87, of Macungie, died March 24, 2022, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Kathleen A. (Hassell) Rowe. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary Dec. 22, 2021. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Marybelle (Reynolds) Rowe.

He was a technician for the former Western Electric for over 30 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was an avid golfer and played softball past the age of 70. He enjoyed monthly breakfasts with friends from Western Electric. His place of solitude was spending time at Breezewood Acres in the Poconos.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Robert R. and his wife, Barbara C., of Bath, Dave E., of Palmerton; daughters, Karen L. and her husband, Patrick D. Bitterle, of Bethlehem, Deborah A. Trexler, of Allentown; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. March 31 in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. March 31 in the funeral home.
