Dale A. Dries, 74, of Macungie, died March 24, 2022, in his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Lucy A. (Wittman) Dries for 51 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Howard B. and Elizabeth (Kocis) Dries.

He was a graduate of Rider College.

He owned and operated Dries Building supply for 64 years.

He was a board member of the former First Federal Savings and Loan and founding board member of East Penn Bank and Bank of Bird-in-Hand.

He was a member of the Emmaus Rotary Club for almost 50 years and was a Paul Harris Fellow.

He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus, trustee at Kalmbach Park, Macungie and was fond of military vehicles. Above all, he enjoyed living on his farm, racing cars, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Darren and his wife, Eleanor, of Macungie, Zachary and his wife, Ashley, of Macungie; grandchildren, Serenity, Kyra, Daemon and Noah; sister, Rita and her husband, Stephen Goldman, of Jacksonville, Fla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. March 30 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
