Orders are due by April 5 for the ongoing Catasauqua High School band and chorus hoagie and sandwich monthly fundraiser. Delivery is expected April 12.

Catasauqua Garden Club will next meet April 6, featuring Master Gardener Lori Metz presenting “Plants from the Bible.” The meeting will start 1 p.m. at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.
Garden club members will have horticultural and artistic design creations on exhibit for judging. Light refreshments will be available.
Garden-inquisitive and -friendly visitors are welcome.

The George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets, will have a Mother’s Day luncheon noon-4 p.m. May 7.
Treat the special mother in your life, and spill the tea with the ladies of history. Tour this local historical beauty and enjoy a light lunch accompanied by a historical tea tasting and fun sewing activity.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will have a bag sale on everything, unless otherwise marked, April 4-13.
The shop’s business hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
We are happy to accept donations of good, used, clean clothing during store hours, too. Proceeds are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.
