Robert P. Ronca, 75, died at home March 21, 2022. He was a son of the late Martin J. (Matz) and Roberta (Harter) Ronca of Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Deborah L. Ronca for 40 years.
He was a 1964 graduate in the last class to graduate from Fountain Hill HS.
He attended both the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and the Combs Music College of Philadelphia. He was a saxophone player and won various music awards.
He earned the U.S. Army rank of Sergeant E5. He was stationed with the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. He was in the Tet Offensive in 1968 in the Vietnam War. He was awarded both a Purple Heart and the U.S. Army Commendation Medal.
He was a home builder in the Lehigh Valley and was the owner of Creative Homes. For the past 24 years, he sold heavy road equipment in northern New Jersey. He was employed for the last 16 years by CCT of Philadelphia.
He was an aficianado of all genres of music. He was a military history enthusiast of the World War II and of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by a son, John K. and his wife Lisa; and a granddaughter, Abigail C. Ronca.
