Despite efforts to reach Nalya (above) in Kiev and Daniela in Latvia, we have nothing to report again this week. Last known whereabouts for Nalya was in Kiev and Daniela was considering driving to Poland as she sees Latvia as an easy target for Putin. We hope to update readers when and if communications is restored. Both young ladies had been international guests of Bethlehem residents Phil and Eileen Gentile. The Gentiles have been in contact with Nalya and Daniela. Their stories appeared in the March 9 and March 16 issues of the Bethlehem Press. by Jenn Rago
