As part of the 29th annual Robert K. Campbell Lecture Series, The Lehigh Conference of Churches will host David LaMotte, award-winning singer, songwriter and author, for a performance of his original songs 7:30 p.m. April 1 at First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 Tilghman St.

The Lehigh Conference of Churches has held these lectures and events annually since 1993, in memory of Bob Campbell, a former PPL executive and community leader, who encouraged religious communities to work together to assist local people in need.

Since 1954, The Lehigh Conference of Churches has been helping those most in need in the Lehigh Valley.

The Conference accomplishes this through programs directed to families and individuals facing severe consequences of poverty, such as homelessness and food insecurity, as well as individuals with behavioral health conditions and severe mental health disorders.

A free-will offering will take place to support the programs at The Lehigh Conference of Churches.

LaMotte has released 12 full-length CDs of primarily original music, and performed 3,000 concerts on five continents.
