Ernest S. Fahringer, 81, of Northampton, died Feb. 18, 2022, in his home. He was the husband of Patricia (Knopf) Fahringer for 59 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Ernest E. and Mabel (Grim) Fahringer.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army. He was a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division.

He was an electrician for 38 years at Tarkett Manufacturing before retiring in 1996.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David and his wife Beth; two daughters, Lisa and Kelley; six grandchildren, April, Carissa, Stephen, Ryan, Marysa and Kyle; a great-grandson, Brady; and three sisters, Shirley, Jen and Linda.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald; and a sister, Betty.

Services are private, at the convenience of the family.
