Airport officials offer travel advice

Due to an increase of daily early morning departures between 5:30 and 8 a.m., Lehigh Valley International Airport strongly advises passengers to arrive at least two hours before their departing flight, especially Thursdays and Sundays, to ensure they process through the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint and get to their gate in time for their flight.

“Give yourself extra time. Airlines are starting to increase capacity with the addition of two early morning departures Thursdays and Sundays.

“If you cut it too close, you might miss your flight,” Colin Riccobon, director of public & government relations, said in a media release.
