Robert S. Rabe, 78, of Germansville died Feb. 9, 2022.

The husband of Susan Rabe, the couple were married 30 years.

Born Oct. 30, 1943, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anna Rabe.

He graduated from Catasauqua High School and had many wonderful memories of friends and sports.

After graduating, he had a lifelong career of servicing oil burners.

As a hobby, he enjoyed doing the bodywork on a modified race car team.

He also traveled often with a group of friends to the NASCAR races in a converted bus they all built together.

One of his favorite pastimes was to get together with his buddies for breakfast.

He was an avid Penn State fan, who loved going to the football games.

He attended Crossroads Community Church, Fogelsville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by her children Leah Hartman of Coplay and Sarah Purugganan of Charlotte, N.C., and two grandchildren.
