Lowell J. Ruth, 75, of Allentown, died peacefully, March 10, 2022, in his home.

He and his wife, Susan L. (Clay) Ruth, were married 34 years.

Born Sept. 28, 1946, in Oley, Berks County, he was the son of the late Lowell John and Mary Rose (Frizzell) Ruth.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era.

He was a precision spot welder at Hofmann Industries Inc., Sinking Spring, before retiring.

Before that, he worked at Electro-Space Fabricators, Topton, and the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trexlertown.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son Eric H. Ruth of Orefield; sisters Carol Warmkessel of Reading, Linda Hoffman of Oley, and Janet Ruth of Reading.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. March 17 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.

Family and friends may pay their respects 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment with military honors will follow the service at St. Paul’s Cemetery Association, Trexlertown.
