Reverend Archpriest Daniel L. Gurovich

The Reverend Archpriest Daniel L. Gurovich, 75, of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bethlehem, died March 2, 2022, after a prolonged illness. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, He was a son of the late Daniel and the late Rose Gurovich.

He studied for the priesthood at Borromeo Seminary, Cleveland, Ohio, and SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary, Pittsburgh. He was ordained to the priesthood by the Most Reverend Emil Mihalik in Parma, Ohio, on May 12, 1974.

He served in various parish assignments in Cleveland, Detroit and California. In November 1986, he was appointed pastor of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bethlehem, where he remained until recently. He was positioned in the Archeparchy of Philadelphia on the Administrative Council, Notary and Secretary of the Archeparchy’s Tribunal and Judge of the Tribunal from 1987 until 2018.

Known for his kindness, he was a record collector and was an aficionado of analog musical recordings.

He is survived by a brother, Ken Gurovich of Cleveland, Ohio.
