Coronation of Irish King and Queen at Agricultural Hall Annex 7:30-11:30 p.m. This family friendly event features the crowning of the King and Queen of the 63rd St. Patrick’s Parade. Live entertainment, bag pipers, step dancers provide genuine Irish flavor leading up to the crowning ceremony. This is a BYOB evening, beer and soda are provided. St. Patrick’s Day Parade 1:30-4:30 p.m. in Allentown. The 63rd Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade will feature 10 pipe bands, 8 divisions and over 2,000 marchers from organizations, schools, companies and community groups throughout the greater Lehigh Valley Area. Free shredder event 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Quakertown Farmers Market, 201 Station Road, Quakertown. Richter Mobile Shredding will be in the North Lot, near the Garden Center, ready to shred personal documents. Richter is a member of the National Association for Document Destruction. Have your papers boxed or bagged. Limit two large bags or boxes per person.

Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society quarterly meeting will be held 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut St. Kevin Shoemaker, president of the Alburtis Lockridge Historical Society, will present the program on the 50 year history of the Thomas Iron Works at Lockridge Furnace. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Lower Lehigh AARP meets noon at Macungie Memorial Park Building (lower level), 50 Poplar St. Join them for an informative and fun-filled meeting. The guest speaker is Christopher Grubb, operations manager, Macungie Ambulance Corps. A light lunch is served. There are many bus trips throughout the year. April 10

Macungie Memorial Park, 50 N. Poplar St., will host an egg hunt 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The egg hunts for newborn to 12 years of age will start noon. The Easter bunny will be available for photos. The event includes food trucks, bounce houses and prizes. An egg spoon race will be held 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. There is a family admission charge.

April 16

Emmaus Kiwanis Club will host its 70th Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. at Emmaus Community Park for children ages 2-10. There are prize eggs for each age group. The Easter bunny will also be in attendance.

April 23

The Friends of the Emmaus Public Library will host the 22nd annual used book sale April 22 and 23 at Lower Macungie Middle School, 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township. A preview night for members of the Friends of the Emmaus Public Library is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. April 22. The public sale will be held 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The popular brown bag blow out sale, where book lovers can fill a brown grocery bag, will be held 3 to 3:45 p.m. There is a cost for the bag. A nutrition health and safety fair will be held 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

April 29, 30

Tee Time at the Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus. Join supporters of the library for a round of 18-hole mini-golf at the library. Putters, balls and score cards will be provided to each registered player. The adult-only event will be held 6-9 April 29 and will feature complimentary food and an adult beverage. The family friendly event will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30. Food and beverages from Take a Taco will be available for purchase. Children under 4 play for free.
