No stranger to attractive holiday displays, Coplay resident Mona Purcell honors her husband’s family’s Irish heritage with an attractive St. Patrick’s Day display at her home.
Purcell noted she and her husband visited the Emerald Isle several times over the years. She said they were fun trips to the beautiful country of Ireland. She uses the display to stir warm memories of past adventures.
The holiday is a religious and cultural celebration March 17 that honors St. Patrick on the day of his death in 461. It was proclaimed a religious feast day in the 17th century.
