Students to compete in Lego League Robotics championship

The “Zengineers,” which include Tushar Mehta ‘26 from Orefield Middle School, and Aron Rabin ‘26 from Springhouse Middle School, are headed to the First Robotics - Lego League Robotics International World Championship.

Eighth graders Mehta and Rabin are part of the “Zengineers,” a group of middle schoolers from the Lehigh Valley who make up the LV Core Robotics Team.

They have been instrumental with robotics and participated in First Lego League since fifth grade.

Recently, this group of five Lego and robotic enthusiasts competed in the Pennsylvania Regional First Lego League Robotics competition and became the First Lego League Pennsylvania East Regional Champions.

The team is now headed to Houston, Texas for the first ever Lego League Robotics World Championship on April 20-23.

“Congratulations to this amazing group of students,” Shuchi Mehta, Tushar Mehta’s mother said, “We are incredibly proud of these young men representing Parkland School District and are honored to cheer them on in April.”
