St. Ann School presents ‘Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR.’

St. Ann School, 435 S. Sixth St., Emmaus, will present “Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR.” 6:30 p.m. March 11 and 2 and 6:30 p.m. March 12.

The 32-member cast consists of students in fourth through eighth grades and the five member stage crew consists of sixth through eighth graders. The show is directed by third grade teacher Denise Binder and the music director is Ariel Scholz.

Auditions were held before Thanksgiving 2021, two rehearsals were held in December 2021 and rehearsals have been three days a week since January.

For some, this is their first show, while others have been in as many as five. Previous shows Binder and Scholz have directed at St. Ann’s were Seussical (2020/2021), Annie (2019), Aladdin (2018) and Willy Wonka (2017).

“Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR.” is a condensed version of the show that ran on Broadway from 2008-2012 and was adapted from the 1989 Disney movie.

Members of the cast include: Holly Binder, Faith Bixler, Sophia Borelli, Emilie Breidenbach, Olivia Davison, Ashlynn Edwards, Elise Eisenhard, Brianna Farkas, Adaliz Gibson, Molly Hoffman, Aubrey Kazmierczak, Hayley Kazmierczak, Lorelli Miranda, Mia Moyer, Liana Mulero, Isabella Nguyen-Horvath, Isabella Oviedo, Matthew Oviedo, Mary Page, Charlotte Patterson, Leah Patterson, Monica Romero, Katiana Rosario, Jonah Rumley, Evelyn Scholz, Liliana Scholz, Olivia Schueck, Gabriela Tranguch, Ximari Vasquez, Chloe Warrenfeltz, Madeline Warrenfeltz and Jelisse Zorilla.

Members of the stage crew include: Nicholas Compano, Kylie Farkas, Ashlyn Griech, Tim Reinert and Jakob Scrbacic.
