Richard “Dick” R. Lauden-slager, 77, died Feb. 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in Fogelsville.
He was the beloved husband of Carol A. Laudenslager (née Hakler) for 21 years.
He leaves behind children Kristin Laudenslager (Bobby Thomas), Julie Holman (Barry), Sara Ruch (Kevin), Kyle Laudenslager (Christina), Amy Newman (Robert) and Chad Klimek (Amy).
In addition to his devoted wife and children, he is survived by sisters Marlene “Dolly” Dougherty, Gloria Laudenslager, Nancy Synder (Ronald), Carol Kulp; two sisters-in-law Regina and Eleanor; large extended family, including 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Florence (née Rader) Laudenslager, and his older brothers Donald (Ruberda), Stanley and Carl.
A varsity athlete and graduate of Parkland High School, he served in the U.S. Marines from 1963-67 and studied at Kutztown University before his 48-year career as a truck driver.
His legacy of giving includes inspiring multiple generations of young women as a softball coach, delivering Meals on Wheels, and always being the first to help care for family, friends and neighbors.
He was a charter member of Orchard Hills Church.
