Joan E. Kuhns, 83, formerly of South Whitehall Township, died March 2, 2022, in Lehigh Commons, Macungie.

She was the wife of the late George H. Kuhns.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harold Reimert and Hilda F. (Glick) Gombert, and a stepdaughter of the late Walter N. Gombert.

She was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall, where she was a former consistory president, choir member and served on the banquet committee.

Along with her husband, she operated E.S. Kuhns and Son Florist from 1972-2000 in South Whitehall Township.

Before marriage, she worked at PPL Electric Utilities.

After retiring, she worked at Dorney Park in the cash office from 2001-2011.

She will be remembered for her enjoyment of knitting, sewing, bowling, puzzles and watching the Hallmark Channel.

Her survivors include a son Brian K. and his wife, Angela of North Wales; daughter Karen J., wife of Michael Schaefer, of Wescosville; brothers David W. and Michael D., and his wife, Kathy; son-in-law Mark Cassel; grandchildren Aaron, Andrew, Amanda, Samuel, Noelle and Joshua; great-grandsons Benjamin and Alex; half-brothers Kenneth, Keith and Kevin Reimert; half-sisters Kathleen Schlegel and Kimberly Reed.

She was predeceased by a daughter Valerie D. Cassel in September 2021 and brothers Quinton H. and Ronald F.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
