Francis J. Ehret, 89, of Schnecksville, died peacefully, Feb. 21, 2022, in his home.
He was the husband of the late Jeanne M. (Markle) Ehret.
Born March 19, 1932, in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late John S. and Florence (Zimmer) Ehret.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War era.
He retired in 1987 from Lucent Technologies Inc., formerly AT&T, as a MOS ceramic senior engineer where he was employed for 36 years.
He earned an Associate degree from Penn State University and was an avid Penn State enthusiast his entire life.
His survivors include a daughter Karen L. McMurry of Austin, Texas; daughter-in-law Erin O’Meara-Ehret of Austin; grandson Brian Perez (Joni) of The Woodlands, Texas; sister-in-law Ruth Ehret of California; grandnephew John Justin Ehret (Crystal) and their children of California.
He was predeceased by a son Paul D. Ehret, a sister, Florence Ehret Seek, and a brother, John T. Ehret.
