Ellen M. (Lentz) Masenheimer, 95, formerly of N. 20th St., Allentown, died Feb. 24, 2022, in the home of her daughter, Jane E. Warke, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Harold H. Masenheimer.

Born Nov. 7, 1926, in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Dewey C. and Mabel I. (Peters) Lentz.

She was a caregiver at Senior Solutions for 10 years before retiring.

Before that, she was in retail sales for several department stores in the Lehigh Valley for numerous years.

She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Slatington.

Her family was the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of her kind spirit, giving nature and life full of love will live on through them.

She will be missed by her children Dewey J. Masenheimer of New Tripoli, Jane E. Warke and her husband, Jonathan, of Kutztown, Daniel H. Masenheimer and his fiancée, Sheri D. Ference, of New Tripoli; sister Constance E. Sholl, and her partner, David W. Wert, of New Tripoli; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and all who knew and loved her.

She is predeceased by a brother, Harold Lentz.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. March 3 in Friedens UCC, 7227 Route 873, Slatington, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church. Interment will follow the service in the adjacent church cemetery.
