Meal and a mission

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., had an army of volunteers at the ready to host a feast of a lunch Feb. 21.

Many agree the meal is first rate. It’s always more than a simple sandwich. In fact, at the Feb. 21 lunch, church members served pierogies with onions.

Guests concluded Presbyterian Church volunteers did a great job performing God’s work.

Church member Gloria Fetter’s mission to support Peaceable Kingdom, a no-kill animal shelter located at 1049 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, was accomplished by the event. Although the meal is free, donations are accepted. Profits from the Feb. 21 lunch benefited Peaceable Kingdom.

The meals continue the third Monday of every month.

Something else to add to the calendar: Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua’s bake sale, flea market and basket raffle, set for April 9. Additional details will be shared as the planning continues.
