Juliann “Judy” E. Boos, 84, of Coopersburg, died at home, Jan. 29, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Roger T. Boos. They were married for 65 years on Oct. 21, 2021. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Francis D. and Emma C. (Schantz) McFadden.

She was an exceptional athlete, both in basketball and baseball. At age 10, she was invited to try out for the All-American Girls Baseball League. She played high school basketball at Coopersburg High School for four years.

She was a nurse’s aide at Sacred Heart Hospital for 10 years until retiring.

Years ago, she had the opportunity to perform at the Pennsylvania Playhouse. She enjoyed being a mother and spending time with family and friends at the family cabin.

She is survived by her husband; children, John T. and his wife, Janice, Drew T. and Elizabeth A. Wood; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Susan Storat and Kimberly McFadden. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Schell in 2020.
