PRESS PHOTO BY JIM MARSH Emmaus firefighters respond to a dwelling fire Feb. 14, in the 200 block of Ridge St. Emmaus Fire Chief John Price was the first fire officer on the scene and reported a “working fire” shortly after the call was dispatched by the Lehigh County 911 Center just before 2:30 p.m. Price commended the Emmaus fire crew for a “good knockdown.” Crews from the Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company's Swain Station and Upper Milford Township's Vera Cruz Station assisted at the scene, as well as Emmaus Police Department patrol officers, Emmaus Ambulance Corps and Emmaus fire police. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
