AIDSNET, Bethlehem needs community members & professionals (lawyer, CPA, clergy, physician, etc.) who live in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton or Schuylkill County to join our board of directors and help oversee our organization’s mission of building healthier communities by planning and funding HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention Services in those six counties. LEHIGH VALLEY HOSPICE seeks adult volunteers who are comfortable spending time with people at the end of life and who are interested in doing something very meaningful that will have a profound impact on someone’s life and their family’s lives. All geographical areas served. Requires a 12-hour in-depth training program, background checks, flu shot, TB blood testing & references. ANTINANCO EARTH ARTS SCHOOL invites all volunteers (minimum age 14) to provide tree care for the American Chestnut Trees that were planted at Columcille Megalith Park in Bangor, PA, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 13. We will provide tree care, install tree shelters and stakes, and visit the park’s treasured and sacred spots. Work gloves and tools will be provided. K9 KOP PROJECT needs a virtual volunteer to be their Social Media Assistant. Tasks include establishing and/or maintaining active social media accounts, researching and creating interesting content for different social media channels, plus posting approximately 3-4 times a week. LEHIGH VALLEY SCORE needs Volunteer Mentors to coach Entrepreneurs at no charge for our local chapter in the nation-wide SCORE organization. RIPPLE COMMUNITY, Allentown, is looking for volunteers to help refresh our space and ensure that all who enter our doors feel welcome 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on April 4. Help us deep clean the inside of the community center and give the outside of the building a face lift using a power washer and picking up trash around the perimeter of the property. THE LITERACY CENTER, Allentown is looking for virtual volunteers to teach or assist with teaching English as Second Language. THE CENTER FOR ANIMAL HEALTH & WELFARE, Easton can take up to two volunteers per shift to help get the dog area ready for the day. Shifts are 8:30-10:30 a.m. & 1-3 p.m. every day. Please help support our staff by cleaning our main/lower kennels. If you get done early, there are always other chores that we would be grateful to have done.
