FREEDOM BANQUET: The Bethlehem NAACP will hold its 77th annual Freedom Banquet at 2 p.m. March 27 at the Green Pond Country Club, 3604 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem.
Attorney Maraleen Shields of Allentown will be the guest speaker. “2022: A Year for Enlightenment” honorees are Liberty High School Principal Dr. Harrison Bailey and and Bethlehem NAACP youth director Tomacene Nickens.

ERIN GO BRAUGH: A week-long St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held March 12 to 19 in downtown Historic Bethlehem. There will be Celtic-inspired, food, cocktail trail, Irish Gnomes and a scavenger hunt.
The Beth-lum Go Bragh Cocktail for adults age 21 and older has various registration times available. Passport holders will sample St. Patrick’s Day-inspired cocktails from various restaurants and merchants and vote for their favorite for a chance to win the Pot o’ Gold.
The Lucky Leprechaun Card Photo Contest: Snap pics when an an item from each group is located and upload items on the webpage to win a prize.
Follow the Irish Gnomes limericks clue sheet, snap a selfie and upload it to the Heart of Bethlehem Facebook or Instagram pages, using the hashtag #IrishGnomesinBethlehem and win a prize.

CELTIC CULTURAL ALLIANCE 12th ON THE 12th invites organizations, teams and businesses to participate in the 12th annual Parade of Shamrocks, 1 p.m. March 12, downtown Bethlehem. Parade begins at Fifth Avenue and W. Broad Street, proceeds east on Broad Street, turns right on to Main Street and heads south to the area under the Hill-to-Hill Bridge. Apply to be a lifeguard ($12 per hour) or pool cashier ($10 per hour) at one of the city’s five city pools. No lifeguard certification necessary.
