Robert R. Engler, 82, of Center Valley, died Feb. 10, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown campus, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Barbara G. (Witt) Engler who died in 2008. He was the son of the late Calvin R. and Marian R. (Link) Engler.

He was last employed as a layout operator for the former Western Electric Co., Allentown, for 21 years, retiring in 2001. Prior to that he worked for Wentz Memorial Co., Allentown, as a cutter/engraver for several years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Blue Church, Coopersburg.

He was a former longtime member of the Wednesday Night Men’s Bowling League, Coopersburg. He volunteered his time for over 24 years helping with the clean-up/restoration of the Union-West End Cemetery, Allentown.

He enjoyed bus trips, card games, puzzles and was an avid Phillies baseball fan.

He is survived by sons, Brian R. Sr. and his wife, Patricia, of Allentown, Barry R. and his wife, Elizabeth, of Bethlehem; a daughter Brenda M. and her husband, Steven Benko, of Northampton; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson Alan in 1994 and a brother, Donald.
