John “Jack” R. Jones, 89, of Whitehall and formerly of Emmaus and Venice, Fla., died Feb. 6, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Dolores (Conrad) Jones for 67 years.
Born in Chester, he was a son of the late Lester G. and Kathryn (Cullen) Jones.
He played basketball for P.S. DuPont High School, Wilmington, Del., and Goldey Beacom Business School.
He was employed by Coca-Cola USA, retiring in 1989 after 33 years.
He was active in Emmaus sports, coaching, encouraging and guiding young athletes.
He was inducted into the Delaware Legends Hall of Fame in 2010.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jack of Whitehall; a daughter, Janice and her husband Chris Keating of Macungie; two granddaughters, Corryn Keating and Ciara; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, J. Robert.
