Emmaus High School names student of the week
Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently enrolled in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My parents are Susan and Lee and I have an older brother, Lance.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject is science because you get to learn about the world around you by doing fun experiments.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I have received Principal’s Honor Roll, The Green Hornets, Players Player and Most Improved Player awards.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?
A. I am involved in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Student Athlete Character/Sportsmanship Council, Leadership Council, National Honor Society, Foreign Cultures Club, babysitting and I play basketball for the high school and an Amateur Athletic Union team. COVID-19 has remarkably impacted these activities. Club and council meetings were virtual, while the basketball season was shortened. However, I am very grateful this year being my senior year, mainly everything I participate in is “normal” again.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. Currently, my biggest challenge is deciding on what college or university I will attend in the fall.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. My goal after high school is to attend college and pursue a degree in nursing.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire my mom and dad because they have helped me grow as a person and are always my biggest supporters in anything I do.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered as a kind person willing to help anyone.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. My best advice for my peers is whenever you are stressed out or worried, just know that everything will work out in the end.
