Students named to dean’s list
Local residents were among more than 1,650 students named to the University of Scranton’s dean’s list for the 2021 fall semester. The dean’s list recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a GPA of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make this honor. The list includes students from the Jesuit university’s college of arts and sciences, Kania School of Management and Panuska College of Professional Studies.

Students named to dean’s list
A total of 1,222 students have been named to the dean’s list at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania for the fall 2021 semester of the 2001-22 academic year, according to Margaret Ball, D.M.A., interim provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the dean’s list are those who have attained a 3.50 quality-point average or better and are enrolled full time. The letter grade B earns three quality points per credit, and the grade A earns four quality points per credit.

Frace earns dean’s list
Virginia Frace, of Bath, made the dean’s list for fall 2021 semester. Frace was among more than 5,000 students named to this honor. Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean’s list. For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the fall semester and at least a 3.50 GPA (on a 4.00 scale).

Kocsis earns degree
Matthew Kocsis, of Northampton, earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, cum laude, from University of Maryland Global Campus. More than 8,000 students from all 50 states, four U.S. territories and 26 countries earned UMGC degrees worldwide in fall 2021.
